1. Who was your favorite character (s) from the film? Why? I loved Derrick´s mom, Dawn Thompson I really love the characters who stands for something, in this case for her child. A brave, strong and independent woman. She knew everything from the beginning, and she managed herself to help her child because she knew that Derrick loved boxing. I think that she was the real hero, the main character. 2. How do we see the political conflict portrayed in the film? Remember to use the article Michael Manley's Vision to help you. Besides the fact that some guys belongs to PNP and the other half to JLP, nothing explains the violence. Especially when they use teenagers to fight. Civilians with guns only represent how broke and polarised a country is. Here in Chile we know how that is. And, always, always, the lesson is that they -politicians- just don´t care how people live.
